Porto Alegre SPP Paulinia Belém Brasilia Office Campinas Sao Paulo Rio de Janeiro

Zech Umwelt GmbH has laid the cornerstone for developing the Brazilian soil remediation market with its subsidiary SAPOTEC. SAPOTEC is the founder of the first soil decontamination plant in Brazil and is thus one of the pioneers in this sector in Latin America.

The existing SPP´s are located in Paulinia, Sao Paulo, and in Nova Santa Rita in Rio Grande do Sul each with an annual capacity of 108.000t/a and 68.400t/a. The applied method in biological soil remediation is the Terraferm®method.

The SPP Paulinia is located at the waste disposal site oft the ESTRE - Emprese de Saneamente e Tratamento de Residuos, business partner since 2002. Furthermore a third SPP is projected in Xerem, county of Rio de Janeiro.

The most important target groups for SAPOTEC are filling stations and refineries, though waste water and waste air treatment and the elimination of oil damages following accidents are also part of SAPOTEC's field of work.
