The focus of services and products in the environment branch lies in the remediation of contaminated sites, above all the operation of stationary (off-site) and mobile (on-site) plants to treat contaminated soils through biological methods and scrubbing. 15 stationary and mobile bio-plants as well as 7 stationary and mobile scrubbing plants are available in Germany alone. These allow over 2 million tons of contaminated soil to be treated and cleaned each year before being returned to the appropriate and ecologically beneficial business cycle.

In addition to these capacities, plants and installations are also available for an in-situ remediation of soil and groundwater. These methods allow decontamination without any excavation by means of biological, chemical and physical methods in active and inactive systems.

Thanks to our wide range of process technologies and the comprehensive know-how of our experts, we can successfully handle even large land recycling projects with complex and difficult requirements. This is why we offer a one-stop service for everything related to contaminated soils above and below the groundwater level.

Our experience with the appropriate approvals and certifications as a specialist waste disposal company, SCC, RAL and WHG ensures a professional and expedient performance of all measures.

Our own holdings as well as reliable co-operation partners allow us to offer the systems we have developed in Germany and used successfully for many years not only in Europe but also South America (through two companies in Brazil).

Through the co-operation with our affiliated companies in the construction and real estate sector (e.g. Deutsche Immobilien Holding AG, Phoenix Real Estate Development GmbH) we ensure a concentration of expertise for all phases of the recycling and reutilisation of contaminated sites, from the planning, needs-based remediation right through to the market-driven construction, rental and maintenance of real estate.
